So, I thought to myself on Saturday night {as I wiped the tears from my eyes as the AU marching band went from the Star Spangled Banner into the Auburn Fight Song}... did everyone have a college experience like I did? Does everyone get a little choked up as they pull back onto their college campus? During college did everyone develop friendships that they know will be life-long?
So what's with the purses:
On the way to Auburn I ripped this page out of the JCrew catalog (i know, it was like a scene out of Best In Show, only thing that would have made it better is if I had been sipping a Chai Tea Soy Latte from Starbucks, talking on a Blackberry, while thumbing thru my JCrew and LLBean catalogs). Back to the point, I held up this page as I looked at Chance and said "does this make you happy?", I think he probably (often) thinks I have completely LOST my mind. He simply looked and said "what is it?" I went on to explain how the juxtaposition of the beautiful silk bags hanging on the rustic mounted antlers just really warmed my heart. Made me smile.
That "warm fuzzy" feeling came back again when we got to Auburn, I can't really put it into words, it's just very "warm and fuzzy"... it's evoked by things like hearing the fight song, driving past Samford Hall, hugging the girls who I lived with on the 2nd floor of Molly A. Hollifield Hall, and then the kicker was orange and blue sunset over the stadium.

I loved seeing you this weekend!! I'm already counting down the days until next year when we have our reunion at the Georgia game! Maybe your sweet husband can set up that kick arse screen like he did a couple of years ago!!

Thanks for all the fabulous posts and yes, I think in my next house I'll build a safe for all of my real simple magazines and clippings!
