shopping spree
Yesterday morning I found Smoot... and her "therapy" session of 'pretend shopping' is so right up my alley. We too are saving money this year. I've only swiped my plastic card once this month (this is major for me)... so I'm joining Smoot in her imaginary shopping spree.
Join me...
1st stop: EBAY! Do you set lifetime design goals? Or is it just me? One thing I want in my house {before I get too old to enjoy it} is a Library (filled with beautiful design books) and an antique Chesterfield Sofa. Last night I found the one I want.
2nd stop: 1st Dibs - 1930's Art Metal Co.'s Wall Unit... hello! I need you as bad as I want you! My magazines would be in heaven, and my husband would be glad they had a "home".
3rd Stop: Lum where the lamps are luscious. I'll take one of everything! Alright, if I need to be "practical" I'll take that set of "It's Not Easy Being Green" for a mere $4,000.
4th Stop: Alyson Fox's A Small Collection - not sure if this is a skirt or a dress, but I want it.
5th Stop: Anthropologie where I pick up this Ginger & Pickle's bag in yellow.
I hope you aren't tired!? Let's stop for coffee then keep going... {Laura I miss you and our shopping days!}
6th Stop: Dunkin' Donuts - because I love their coffee. Little cream, little Splenda... delightful.
7th Stop: West Elm, because a girl can never have too many rugs. (did I really just say that?)
8th Stop: Salvage One for this cabinet, because my new lamps need a home... and this is less than a 1/4 of the price of the lamps - a real steal @ $875! See it here.
And for my collection of letter Es:
And for my next (personal) kitchen (i love the color):
9th Stop: Smith & Hawken... because Spring is right around the corner and my garden is calling for one of these... a grapefruit tree!
10th Stop: my office where I fax in purchase orders for large quantities of these fabrics:
Schumacher's Lace - I'll take any color.
Phillip Jeffries' Arrowroot Grasscloth for my Powder Bathroom.
Barbara Barry for Kravet, Signature Platinum.
Alright, now I'm going to take a bubble bath, have a glass of bubbly and wait for the UPS man to start bringing all these goodies to my door.

Oooh isn't this just a grande idea! I shall joing you of course!

glad to know I'm not the only one with a husband who doesn't understand why I need to keep EVERY magazine that comes through my door!

wow how had I never salvage one before? I guess I never considered shopping for salvage on the internet. I guess I thought it takes the fun out of the find. Turns out, not so much! I love it! Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery...I'll definitely be doing some fantasy shopping of my own now.
