well, if given the first house, I certainly wouldn't complain...remember those automatic shades? sigh. But I DO LOVE the country house! that bathroom is SO precious. I think I'll take the city house for full time and country for my vacay home. cause I'm rich like that. ;)

this is a hard pick for me--i think that the city house slightly wins over the country house though!! BUT i would want the dog from the country house to come move in with me in my city house--i couldn't survive in a canine-less house.

love them both--and love the movie!!

country. but then again i have second homes on the brain. and thoughts of going in halvsies for Slovenia.

These are great pics, aren't they? Thanks for the shoutout!

I tried to watch that movie on an airplane and even when hurling myself through space in a pressurized metal tube with no other entertainment, I couldn't finish this movie. I agree the houses were very enviable but every time they started that mock movie trailer voice over my skin crawled a little further out the door.

Gosh, both!
If I just had to choose ;), I'd go country.

You guys read my mind! I was JUST watching The Holiday the other night and thought "I need to post this"- and y'all beat me to it! I love both houses to death!!!!! Perhaps a "get this look on a dime" post is still in order?

i'm a city girl, so i'd have to go with the city house...everything is so ordered and clean - it comes with a cleaning service too, right?!

such a hard decision...so much grace in the city design and so much character in the country design. love the post!

That is a hard decision. There are so many things I like about both of those!

I would pick the LA house. I am a city mouse.

I would go for the country house AND the Something's Gotta Give house -hahha!!! I can't wait for Meyer's new movie. Only another year or two away!! Thanks for mention Erika - you are TOOO sweet!!

Wouldn't it be ideal to live daily in the city house and escape on weekends and holidays to the country cottage? If pushed to a choice i'd go with the city, as it still has relaxed elements and could feel very vacation like in its own right... kind of looks like it could be in Rosemary Beach?!

Oh that LA house!!! But I'm a country girl at heart so stick me in the country. Can I visit the other though??? :)

Country, no question. The exterior alone, would be sufficient for permanent bliss.(some of the interior touches not to my taste, which would prefer some color and "natural" whimsy, as opposed to trendy touches

I love both of these homes... when I am watching movies I watch partly for the set decorating and design. This is one of my favorites. I would live in the city home and have the country home for weekends. I also love slipper tubs though that is a tiny one!I also love the blue velevet tufted ottoman. You've Got Mail also hasvsome amazing set decor.

First, I have to admit that I have been a blog stalker! :) I don't remember how I found your blog or website! But I love it. Everything on here is so inspiring and just beautiful!

I don't know if I could pick between country or city! I love them both. But I think I'm leaning a little more towards the country!

Thanks for giving me inspiration to make my space beautiful!!!!
