My long-distance (design) love affair continues... Annmarie's marble counters are in... as are her faucet and sink, so I figured it was time to give you blog readers an update. She and Barry (shown below) have found some awesome antique brass fixtures (actually from a boat)... they've been playing a little "honey hold this up for me" and I've been on the receiving end of some fun emails with photos...
[try to look past her yellow backsplash... it'll be tiled over on Monday]
She has this secret stash of discontinued Martha Stewart paint colors!
Then yesterday she sends me some photos from her trip to a local lighting place...
{I don't know where you come from... but we don't have lighting stores that look like that around here}
Then she tells me about this little gem across the street from the lighting place:
Along with the email full of photos of this place she explains what she desires to occupy this precious little antique building in downtown Cohasset:
Urban Grace North - 11 Ship Cove Street - Cohasset Village - Circa 1800
Across the street from Fleming's light shop. This shop with its' little PATIO and path to PASTRY SHOP, tiny loft inside.......
Holy quaintness! Tempting, very tempting.
note to self...must buy a "fall home" here when i win the lottery. (cause i'll have to head back south when it starts with all the snow craziness.) mouth watering jealousy on those light fixtures (and the faucet!!)

I guess I'll volunteer myself to run Urban Grace North since you'll need somebody to run that cute little building. And since we're friends and all....
Oh, and those light fixtures she bought are insane!!!! And I don't care what color the backsplash is - the counters held ALL my attention! Annmarie - it looks beautiful!

Love the post today. I live in this town that houses the cute little building... It is currently housing a very hip jewelry artist named Sage.. Sagestone beads. The lighting store has been there since before Moses, and the guy that owns it is there everyday to help ya' out. The coolest building ( next to the lighting store) was not pictured, it is the Town of Cohasset historic building and it old and very, very sea coast town new england.
Erika.. Really come and visit me. You can go and see Annamarie's kitchen. And stay in Cohasset and see New England in its glory.

Hello... Blair D. are you there? Could you run UGN {Urban Grace North}!? I can see the GRs {golden retrievers} peeking their noses out the window panes! The whole post has me drooling... the lights, the counters, the lighting store, the future home of UGN! Love you!

I just finished my halloween bake-off and was conducting my midnight-ly UG blog check.....and nearly fell off my seat! What a scream!! Thank you, Erika Fans, for playing along. This is really fun, and we are loving all the positive feedback!! And yes - that dreamy cottage in Cohasset is home to my good friend, Sage's shop. Her own (way cool) jewelry designs, and a make-your-own bead supply. Check it out: www.jewelrybysage.biz

when we were remodeling our house, i begged for the fabulous plumbing fixtures, but when the "change order" slips kept coming i got the "not gonna happen." i sigh when i read posts like this bc i get envy, serious serious envy. but then i remember that the good Lord has blessed me with a beautiful home and a husband that still has a job. a girl can still dream though...

So do you know the name of the shop that is currently at 11 Ship Cove Street? Because I love the exterior colors! Is it rude for me to call and ask knowing they will be different in person? Enjoy your time at Darby's, I know she will love having you!!!

This cute little business is an incredible jewelery store of unique pieces. Her company is Jewelery by Sage. I think it is Sagestone or something, too. It is wonderful I have given alot as gifts.

Wow! Those antique fixtures are fantastic! As is that little lighting shop in Cohasset! Living in Boston without a car, it's hard to get out of the city but this post really makes me want to try harder.

I had to drop a comment on this somewhat old post with some new news. Sage has decided to leave this space -- and I am soon going to open a photography studio in it! Very excited. When I googled the address, your blog came up and I love it! So while I am sorry that you can't open your interior design shop, I do wish you could come help me design my new studio -- I just love your work! Next time you are in town I hope you will come by to say hi. Grand opening in April 2009...
