I am alive (I think)
Hi friends. Sorry for a lack of posts! I've been out of town, wrapping up this project in Tallahassee. I love these clients (I am blessed and grateful- most of clients are pretty darn fabulous)... these two are delightful and warm and caring beyond words... I think their house suits them well. This project has been in the works for about 2.5 years and I am honored to have been included in their journey. I posted photos earlier... but here are some of the final product. While I was there doing my thing, some students from the FSU Film School stopped by (the FSU film school is pretty well renowned) and they wanted to shoot a film in the front yard and on the porch... which is pretty fun! Here are some pictures of my adventures last week...
Clarence House fabric, one of my absolute favorites.
*If I owe you a phone call, email, hug, note, something tangible... sorry, I'm catching up, please have patience with me. One more busy week this week (another installation)... but after Thanksgiving I plan to be back to business as usual! We are going home for a whole WEEK for Thanksgiving and I seriously cannot wait!!! For now, I'm off to bed as I've had a hard time keeping my eyes open all day!
PS- I gave up Diet Coke. I've been afraid to tell you, my imaginary cyber friends, for fear of a relapse... but so far, so good... it's been well over a month!

uh huh...yes...i will be moving in with them. looks like they have plenty of space and will never notice. wonder if they need a professional dog walker?
beautiful!
and you gave up diet coke? did you have the decency to replace it with diet dr. pepper?

Wow, I really enjoyed this. You have great taste. So much attention to detail, right down to the pretty flower pots! Kudos for giving up the caf, by the way. I'm up to two ventis a day. Shoot me.

What beautiful images of your work. It must be nice to finally be in the last stages. I love everything especially that amazing headboard towards the end.

Oh my, you have been a busy girl!!! What a beautiful home! I love the den with the DOUBLE SECRETARIES (c'mon, who thinks of that?) and the desk in between!! And the monogrammed pillows!? And the headboards...and the veggie decoupage...and is there limit in the Comments section??? WELL DONE! And enjoy that beautiful, comfortable home, you lucky ducks!

I love the lamps in the house. They are just one of the many beautiful things there. That house is swoon worthy!!!
BTW, did you have a Diet Coke problem? Why the sacrifice?
Posted by: Dianne | November 17, 2008 at 10:35 PM
Wow! It's hard to pick a favorite. I think I like the kitchen best. I especially like the fun bar stools and fabric juxtaposed with the vintage look of the kitchen.

Love everything! Love your work and style. Mind sharing name/make of that beautiful brown Ikat looking fabric on the headboard?
Thanks!!!

Swooon. SO much to love! Where to start? So clean and simple with the color/texture choices. Fabrics are the exclamation point on the whole project! Great art, too...those rutabaga/parsnip series...is that in a breakfast room? In kitchen?
Lovely!

It's wonderful. All of it. I like the little touches-for example, the little round table with a few books stacked on it, next to the wall. Who would think of such a thing? But, I love it. All of it. You are very talented.

I REMEMBER this house! All I can say is "GORGEOUS!"
I'm SO proud of you for giving up that Diet Coke! I pray that it taste like chemicals if you ever try it again so that there will never be the temptation again!
Thank you for your comment! :) I'm heading to see Darby's family on Saturday, Dec. 6th! I want to meet you, too! I know I don't know you, but I still love you!
Have a great day, and I hope you take some time to slow down and just "BE"...with yourself, with Chance and, of course, with our Lord! You're like me (and Darby)..."go! go! go!" :)
Love you!

Breathtaking!! I love their taste and with your design input it turned out spectacular. I am so excited that I get to go see all the gorgeousness in person this weekend at Caroline's baby shower. When I get rich and famous you will be first on my speed dial to design the interiors of my many homes. ;-) BTW, I made it to Williams Sonoma this weekend and picked up some of that pumpkin butter - you weren't kidding, YUMMY!

OK, I am double-commenting. Thought you should know that I am RIVETED by this home. There's something so pretty, plain and perfect about it! And could you please have the Baby Shower people email me? I have THE perfect decoration/gift idea for them. It needs to go in this house. Thank you.

Beautiful. I love the tile work above the stove with the pot filler and the headboard. Keep up the good work with the diet coke. I had to give it up this summer and was doing so well. Now it's slowly creeping back in. Be strong!
