I've told yall before... sometimes Google searches take me to the unexpected. I think this was a "vintage urinal" search. Okay, I have mixed emotions. You know I love to garden. And I love flowers. And I love plumbing fixtures... but do I love them all mixed up in one unit?
I think they are funny. And pretty. But, but, but? I can't put my finger on it.
I love the sinks:
Thoughts anyone? Seeing as how I'm not a urinal-user I can't really give honest feedback. A piece of art you pee on/in seems a little irreverent? I hope some men will speak up? I know you are out there.
Clark Sorenson gets the credit for these pretties you can pee on.
I don't know, I am torn. As a florist, I find it fairly offensive, yet, that being said, I would love to have the excuse of "needing" it in the shop restroom, think of the talk!

Oh Erika, as an artist I don't know if I should laugh or cry! Let's just say these are too much!
Posted by: Dianne | December 18, 2008 at 07:44 PM
Ummm... any man would have to have a good aim to hit a stamen with his pistol. :) Nothing like a little crude botanical talk.
Posted by: Darby | December 18, 2008 at 08:51 PM
i'm laughing at darby!!!
the urinals are cracking me up too!
Posted by: taylor brown | December 18, 2008 at 09:15 PM
I like the sink. I do. It's neat. The urinals, on the other hand, are a little off putting. Where on earth did you find those things!? lol Never a dull with you. :)
Posted by: The Steel Magnolia House | December 18, 2008 at 09:26 PM
When I read the top, before I scrolled down, I just knew you had found a picture of a urinal someone had attached to their fence and decided to plant flowers in. I'm just as amazed by what you found, where do people come up with this stuff?
Posted by: Ruth | December 18, 2008 at 09:30 PM
Okay, I checked with the men in my house. Here's the opinions after I inquired.
Peter: "I don't like any of those things"
Me: "You have to pick one."
Peter: "Okay, I guess that white one."
Then he walked away. So I was left with Blake.
Blake: "I love the seashell. But don't say anything too personal, Mom."
Posted by: seleta | December 18, 2008 at 10:12 PM
Would this be considered "deflowering" the urinal????? :-)
Posted by: JJ | December 18, 2008 at 11:05 PM
OK.
Is it just me, or might there be a splash or splatter issue with all of the petals and stamens and pretty what-nots?????
Posted by: jen quinn | December 19, 2008 at 12:54 AM
The first thing that came to my mind was how difficult it would be to clean something like that...
Posted by: Susie | December 19, 2008 at 08:34 AM
I am dying laughing at your sista! What a hoot.......These urinals are certainly unique and would make a good "conversation item" for sure!
Erika, I just read about Paisley.....so glad to hear she is okay! Yes, it could have been much worse. I have been in the emergency clinic this week with one of my Kitties who was having seizures.....it scared me to death! OH, these beloved animals of ours! What would we do without them?
Posted by: Mimilee | December 19, 2008 at 09:15 AM
Those are horrible! HA! I'll have to share with hubs this evening...
Posted by: Hilary | December 19, 2008 at 09:17 AM
hahaha too funny. Seleta- that's about how I think it would go with my husband
Posted by: Lauren | December 19, 2008 at 09:28 AM
My first thought was the same as susie's...COULD YOU IMAGINE CLEANING THOSE THINGS...UGH! Much too delicate for such a manly thing as a urinal. So glad sweet Paisley is doing well. I can't imagine how hard that was!!!
Posted by: Marianna | December 19, 2008 at 09:40 AM
OMG! Those are hilarious! My first thought was, "Wow, those must be expensive!" They really are very artistic, that's for sure. And I also wonder how hard it would be to, um, aim into those?
Posted by: Rachel Shingleton | December 19, 2008 at 09:54 AM
talk about a way to wake up, you have me laughing and my daughter asking what's that.
Posted by: paula | December 19, 2008 at 09:59 AM
oh mercy! those are ... weird!
Posted by: Jennifer | December 19, 2008 at 10:54 AM
Totally weird...yet hilarious. And kind of mesmerizing...I love it! Just Kirtsy-ed it!
Posted by: Barchbo | December 19, 2008 at 11:06 AM
ok. being a mom of 2 boys, i can just say with boldness...that ain't right. it is hard enough to get them to get the job done without getting too much on the floor, but to have to stand there and be perplexed...oh no ma'am. i just can't...i...mmm. sorry, words have left me.
Posted by: Becky | December 19, 2008 at 11:17 AM
they are pretty weird. lets hope they don't make toliets!
Posted by: megan | December 19, 2008 at 12:24 PM
why oh why may I ask were searching for vintage urinals??
Posted by: Heather | December 19, 2008 at 01:52 PM
When I see stuff like this I always wonder, "who buys this stuff". That's what you should find out, who's buyin'?
Posted by: Sarah's Fab Day | December 19, 2008 at 05:02 PM
First of all I won't ask why you are Googling vintage urinals ha ha!
And second, tell us you did a superb Photo Shop job, so we could all have a big laugh. Really this is hysterical!

Erica,
Don't ever take your plumbing fixture to this level :)

I am at a party in Utah RIGHT NOW with the guy who made these. Finally my life is better than yours! :)
Posted by: Sarah | December 20, 2008 at 11:08 PM
I'm not even gonna ask the four males in my house what they think of these, I'm pretty sure they would veto the lot. From personal experience, living with four aforementioned males, the aiming issue would be a nightmare, I'm envisioning a Darby scenario, in addition to watering my floors, now there would be flowers involved! Yuck! :0)
Posted by: nkp | December 22, 2008 at 10:35 AM
mixture of emotions in allowing these pics to pass through my glasses, not one was desirable. Kind like mixing ketchup with Tutti Frutti ice cream ...
I am a certified diver and that sea shell was wierd. It is just wrong on some level. Can I post some more tomorrow after I have some nightmares ... I have been scarred.
Posted by: Scott | December 23, 2008 at 01:02 AM

Creative design can be done in many ways. The idea of this one is use an exercise that has a creative focus to build or design the ideas for the future of what ought to be.

Wow.. This is great! I can say that plumbing fixture is a key ingredient that makes up for a great bathroom interior. But sometimes finding that perfect set of plumbing fixtures for your bathrooms can be a demanding job. Anyway, thanks for sharing the pics and I definitely visit here more often.
