worth the wait

 

I'm at my sister's for the weekend and thoroughly enjoying a little bit of time off.  Of course the day I left town (Wednesday) a rug was due to arrive that I ordered months ago.  My clients patiently waited while this beauty was custom made (color and size) for the sunroom that is adjacent to their master bedroom (bed in foreground).  I was beyond delighted to see a few snapshots from my clients once the rug was put in its forever home.

I'd say it was well worth the wait!  I think they'd agree!

The rug is the Dragonscale by NIBA Rugs.  The green is wool and the ivory is silk... I can't wait to see it (and feel it) in person!

Have you ever fallen down the stairs?

I have.

Unfortunate injury resulting falls.

I think a seagrass runner would help my case.

(and not talking on the phone while carrying a laundry basket, while hurdling a dog gate might help too)

I'm gonna see if I can get a note from my doctor, as I am hoping our health insurance will cover the runner.

it's okay to stair!

Remember Annmarie? She's the girl I've been helping who lives south of Boston... well we were talking "stair runners" the other day and I suggested that she keep it simple (seagrass or something similar) in her foyer.  UNTIL she sent me a few photos of some color samples and this one made me stop dead in tracks:

Not to mention I already love her all white stairs! Okay, so these are Roger Oates Designs... and it's okay to stair stare.

   

So... we have stairs (hardwood) in our house that I have fallen down twice... once resulting in a semi-serious injury [severe muscle spasm that had me flat on my back for 3 days]... that's what I get for talking on the phone while carrying a stack of towels whilst hurdling the "dog gate"... point of story: I'm hoping that perhaps one day I can justify the need for a stair runner to limit any risk associated with our "too slick" stairs... probably wishful thinking!
